Naptapgo Raises ₹2 Cr to Revolutionize Urban and Pilgrimage Stays

In a country where budget travel is both a necessity and a growing trend, Naptapgo is carving out a niche with its compact, tech-enabled accommodations. The pod hotel startup has just raised Rs 2 crore ($233K) in a pre-seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), a major boost to its mission of transforming how India naps, rest, and recharges on the go.

Founded by Nitin Malhotra and Himanshu Shukla, Naptapgo isn’t your average stay. It’s a micro-hospitality concept designed for travelers who value time, flexibility, and affordability. Whether it’s a solo backpacker passing through or a pilgrim needing a clean place to freshen up, Naptapgo’s compact units offer hourly stays, AI-powered service automation, and a check-in experience so seamless it feels like second nature.

“We’re not just selling sleep, we’re offering convenience,” says Nitin Malhotra, whose background in tech with companies like Texas Instruments helps Naptapgo stay ahead in operational efficiency. Meanwhile, co-founder Himanshu Shukla brings hands-on experience in hospitality from Chaayos and Jaypee Resorts — a balance that seems to be paying off.

Currently operating in the NCR region, Naptapgo plans to expand to key urban and spiritual destinations like Gurugram, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Katra, and Amritsar. The startup’s goal is clear: establish 20 properties by FY27.

The fresh funds will go into building franchise partnerships, ramping up digital marketing, and enhancing its tech backbone to support seamless scaling. Notably, 65% of its bookings already come directly through its website and WhatsApp — a sign that users are embracing the direct, no-middleman approach.

Earlier this year, Naptapgo earned recognition from none other than Anand Mahindra, who publicly appreciated the brand’s out-of-the-box thinking in a traditionally rigid industry. The company also received strategic support from Balmer Lawrie, adding credibility and strength to its expansion strategy.

For IPV, the bet on Naptapgo is about backing a vision that combines grassroots practicality with smart execution. “It’s a solution that solves real travel pain points,” said an IPV spokesperson, “and it’s doing it in a scalable, tech-first way.”

At its core, Naptapgo is not just about offering a place to sleep — it’s about offering rest, privacy, and peace of mind to a class of travelers often overlooked by traditional hotels. Whether it’s a tired commuter, a religious pilgrim, or a traveler with a long layover, Naptapgo is giving people a reason to pause — comfortably, affordably, and efficiently.

In a fast-moving world, sometimes the best disruption is simply giving people a moment to rest. And Naptapgo seems ready to power that pause.
