Mumbai-based consumer technology brand EDT has raised $2.4 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by existing investor Sauce. Existing angel investors also participated in the round, alongside a group of strategic investors and industry executives.
The round saw participation from Alteria Capital, Raul Rai of Nicobar, Shibam Das and Arindam Paul of Atomberg, Ajith Pai of Delhivery, and Anushree Tainwala of Samsonite.
Funds to Support Product and Supply Chain Expansion
EDT plans to deploy the fresh capital towards building inventory ahead of the festive season, launching new products, and strengthening its growth, supply chain, brand and product teams.
The company is also focusing on research and development, omnichannel distribution, community building and team expansion as it scales its consumer technology portfolio.
Building a Consumer Technology Portfolio
Founded in 2025 by Naiyya Saggi and Vyasateja Rao, EDT currently operates across the kitchen and home appliance categories.
Its existing portfolio includes the LUMA air fryer oven and FLOW kettle, which are sold through multiple channels including Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma, FoodStories and EDT’s direct-to-consumer platform.
According to the company, its business on Amazon grew nearly sevenfold between March and July 2026, reflecting increased traction across its online distribution network.
EDT Enters Beauty Tech With SUKI
EDT has also expanded into the beauty technology segment with SUKI, a hair dryer built around its patent-pending CareDry Algorithm.
According to EDT, SUKI uses dual sensors to monitor hair and airflow conditions 100 times per second and adjusts heat accordingly.
The product is currently available through EDT’s D2C platform at a limited-time pre-order price of ₹8,499. The company plans to expand SUKI’s availability to marketplaces and retail stores later this year.
Three More Products in the Pipeline
EDT said it has three additional products in development across the home, kitchen and beauty technology categories.
With the latest funding, the company plans to continue investing in product development and R&D while expanding its omnichannel presence.
The startup will also focus on strengthening its supply chain, building its consumer community and expanding its teams as it looks to scale its portfolio across India’s growing consumer technology market.
