Karta AI Raises $3 Million in Seed Funding Led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital

Bengaluru-based voice AI startup Karta AI has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital, with participation from Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars. The startup plans to use the fresh capital to enhance its AI platform, expand deployments across financial institutions and strengthen its engineering and go-to-market teams.

Karta AI, a voice artificial intelligence (AI) platform focused on inbound customer operations across banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), has secured $3 million in seed funding to expand its enterprise automation capabilities.

The funding round was led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital, while Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars also participated. According to the company, the investment will support improvements to its end-to-end automation and multilingual capabilities, alongside expansion across financial institutions.

Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha, Karta AI develops voice AI agents that manage inbound customer calls for banks, lenders, fintech companies and insurance providers. Its platform integrates with enterprise systems to resolve customer queries and execute workflows without human intervention, escalating conversations to human agents when required.

Unlike conventional voice bots designed to address individual queries, Karta AI’s platform is built to manage multiple customer intents within a single conversation. Its predictive context engine draws on historical interactions handled by both human agents and AI systems to improve query resolution and decision-making.

Karta AI Processes 2 Million Customer Conversations Monthly

The Bengaluru-based startup said its platform is already deployed with financial institutions and handles approximately 2 million customer conversations every month across more than 25 languages.

According to the company, its inbound servicing agent resolves around 70% of borrower queries end to end, compared with 0% before implementation. The platform supports use cases such as loan disbursal status, account statements, foreclosure statements and the release of property documents.

These capabilities are aimed at helping financial institutions automate repetitive customer service workflows, improve response times and reduce dependence on manual call handling.

With the fresh funding, Karta AI intends to deepen its automation capabilities and expand its presence among financial services providers. The company also plans to scale its engineering and go-to-market teams while developing reusable, industry-specific capabilities for broader adoption.

Over the longer term, Karta AI aims to expand into international markets, building on its multilingual voice AI infrastructure and growing enterprise deployments.

India’s Voice AI Market Attracts Investor Interest

Karta AI’s funding comes amid increasing investor interest in India’s agentic voice AI market, where startups are developing AI-powered systems to automate customer interactions across banking, lending, fintech and insurance.

Recent funding activity in the segment includes Desible.ai’s Rs 32 crore seed-plus round led by Prime Venture Partners, Navana.ai’s Rs 40 crore Series A round led by Ronnie Screwvala, and Rezolv’s $12.5 million Series A round led by Norwest.

Other companies operating in the space include Arrowhead, which focuses on voice AI for financial services, and Gnani.ai, which is expanding its agentic AI and multilingual voice capabilities.

While some platforms focus on specialised financial services workflows, including collections, underwriting and customer support, others are building voice AI infrastructure for broader enterprise applications.

As financial institutions increasingly explore AI-driven customer operations, platforms capable of handling complex conversations, integrating with enterprise systems and supporting multiple languages are positioning themselves to address a growing range of customer service requirements.

For Karta AI, the latest seed funding marks a step towards expanding its deployments and advancing its vision of autonomous, context-aware customer interactions across the financial services sector.
