Flam Raises $40 Million Series B Led by QED Investors to Scale AI Interactive Content

Bengaluru-based AI interactive content company Flam has raised $40 million in its Series B funding round led by QED Investors. The round also saw participation from Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan and Shah Rukh Khan, along with existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail.

Flam will use the fresh capital to expand research and development across its AI models, broaden its product portfolio and scale its enterprise sales operations globally.

Founded in 2021 by Shourya Agarwal, Malhar Patil and Amit Gaiki, Flam develops AI-powered interactive content for enterprises. Its technology is being used across areas including marketing, product visualisation, learning and development, entertainment, fan engagement, customer support and sales.

The company said it has onboarded more than 100 enterprise customers over the past six quarters, including Google, Reliance and Hyundai.

Flam’s Interactive Content Platform

Flam currently holds more than 15 patents and offers three core formats designed for different types of interactive content.

Its Flicks product enables interactive videos that can change people, products or scenes while the video is playing. Flam said Flicks uses a patented compression algorithm and is delivered programmatically with a 50-millisecond time-to-first-buffer.

The company’s Forge editing model uses image references to modify specified elements in content.

Airboards, another core format, delivers high-fidelity 3D content through a camera interface that supports touch, voice and haptic interactions. Flam said its 3D streaming technology can load Airboards in 300 milliseconds without requiring users to install an app.

The company also has Fable, an image-to-video model that generates assets as native alpha-channel videos.

Building AI-Powered Visual Agents

Beyond interactive content, Flam is developing Visual Agents, which are human-like characters designed to hold conversations and take agentic actions.

The technology combines several of Flam’s AI systems. Fantom is designed for facial expression, identity preservation and motion transfer, while Finesse provides multilingual voice capabilities.

The company’s AI stack also includes Falcon, a 26-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts large language model.

Flam said its pipeline can return an answer in under two seconds, while Falcon delivers a 30-millisecond time-to-first-token.

Global Enterprise Expansion

Headquartered in San Francisco, Flam has teams operating across India and Japan. The company said it currently has five AI models, more than 15 patents and over 100 enterprise customers globally.

Its customer base includes major companies such as Google, Reliance and Hyundai, highlighting the company’s focus on enterprise applications for AI-powered interactive content.

With the latest Series B funding, Flam plans to invest further in its AI research and development, expand its product suite and strengthen its global enterprise sales.

The funding comes as the company continues to develop AI models and interactive formats aimed at bringing more dynamic content and AI-driven experiences to enterprise use cases.
