Building materials quick commerce startup Fixxly has raised $5.5 million in a seed funding round led by Accel, with participation from Fireside Ventures and Lightspeed India Partners. The funding comes ahead of the company’s commercial launch, as it aims to modernize the procurement of construction and home improvement materials through an AI-powered delivery platform.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen Fixxly’s technology platform and scale its operations before its official launch on September 1. The company will begin operations in Bengaluru, with plans to expand to additional cities in the coming months.
Building a Quick Commerce Platform for Construction Supplies
Founded in 2026 by Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma, Fixxly is developing an AI-powered quick commerce platform designed specifically for the building materials ecosystem.
The platform enables contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, interior designers, and homeowners to order construction and renovation materials including plywood, paint, electrical products, lighting, hardware, and plumbing supplies with deliveries in as little as 30 minutes.
By focusing on professional buyers as well as individual consumers, the startup aims to simplify and accelerate access to essential building materials.
AI-Powered Supply Network at the Core
Fixxly’s platform operates through an AI-driven supply network that fulfills orders using a network of local dark stores.
According to the company, its technology matches real-time inventory availability, customer proximity, and demand patterns to optimize deliveries and improve fulfillment efficiency. The platform is designed to ensure faster deliveries while reducing inventory and logistics inefficiencies within the building materials supply chain.
Experienced Founders Driving the Vision
Fixxly is led by founders with extensive experience across home interiors, supply chain management, and e-commerce logistics.
Co-founder Shezan Bhojani previously co-founded home interiors startup DesignCafe, which merged with HomeLane in 2024. Meanwhile, co-founder Sachith Varma has held leadership roles in supply chain design at Zepto and managed last-mile operations at Flipkart, bringing deep operational expertise to the venture.
Targeting a Traditionally Fragmented Market
The procurement of building materials has traditionally remained fragmented, with professionals often relying on multiple suppliers and facing inconsistent inventory availability and delivery timelines.
Fixxly aims to address these challenges by creating a technology-first procurement platform that combines artificial intelligence, local fulfillment infrastructure, and rapid delivery to streamline purchasing for construction professionals and homeowners alike.
Expanding Beyond Bengaluru
With its commercial launch scheduled for September, Fixxly plans to establish its presence in Bengaluru before expanding into other Indian cities.
As quick commerce continues to evolve beyond groceries and consumer goods, Fixxly is betting that speed, technology, and AI-driven logistics can transform the building materials sector and create a more efficient supply ecosystem for India’s construction and home improvement market.
