Escape Plan Secures $5 Mn Funding Led by Jungle Ventures to Scale Travel Gear Business

Escape Plan, a rising D2C brand in the travel accessories space, has raised $5 million in a fresh funding round led by Jungle Ventures through its First Cheque@Jungle initiative. The round also saw participation from existing investor Fireside Ventures and a group of prominent angel investors.

Founded by Abhinav Pathak (formerly Co-Founder of Perpule, acquired by Amazon) and Abhinav Zutshi, Escape Plan aims to redefine how modern Indian consumers shop for travel gear. The brand offers a wide range of travel essentials including luggage, backpacks, passport covers, and neck pillows—targeting both everyday commuters and holiday travelers.

The Bengaluru-based startup plans to utilize the capital to aggressively scale its retail footprint, strengthen customer acquisition efforts, and launch quick commerce services. As part of this strategy, Escape Plan is partnering with well-known platforms to enable one- to two-hour delivery in key Indian metros. The funds will also support production ramp-up and capacity expansion initiatives.

Since its inception, Escape Plan has opened physical stores in six to seven cities and now aims to scale that number to over 100 locations within the next 18–24 months. The brand currently retails a mix of in-house and partner-manufactured products through its own e-commerce platform.

Operating in India’s rapidly growing travel gear market, Escape Plan competes with established D2C players like Mokobara, Nasher Miles, Uppercase, and Acefour Accessories. With this fresh infusion of capital and strategic backing, the company is positioning itself for accelerated growth and deeper market penetration.
