Bengaluru-based longevity science startup Decode Age has raised Rs 14.48 crore (approximately $1.7 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, Chairman and Managing Director of Granules India.
Founded in 2021, Decode Age operates at the intersection of aging biology, biomarkers, and gut microbiome science, with a focus on making ageing-related biological signals measurable and actionable. The company enables data-driven longevity insights through advanced testing, scientific research, and precision-led health interventions.
According to the company, the fresh capital will be utilised to expand biomarker discovery programmes, strengthen its multi-omics and microbiome research pipeline, and upgrade its scientific and analytical infrastructure. Decode Age is also investing in the development of research-backed supplements and longevity solutions linked to key aging pathways, including metabolism, inflammation, cellular energy, and cognitive health.
The startup has developed an in-house platform capable of genome-scale gut microbiome analysis, metagenomics, and biomarker research. These systems are designed to support clinicians, researchers, and individuals seeking evidence-based insights into long-term health and healthy ageing.
As part of its growth strategy, Decode Age is expanding its scientific and product teams and plans to take its longevity research beyond India. The company collaborates with academic and global research initiatives, including projects associated with IISc and international longevity programmes, to generate ageing and microbiome data aligned with global research standards.
