CarDekho Group–Backed Carrum Raises Series A Funding from Uber to Scale Green Fleet Operations

Fleet management and B2B mobility solutions company Carrum, backed by CarDekho Group, has raised an undisclosed amount in a Series A funding round from Uber, strengthening its strategic partnership with the global ride-hailing platform.

According to the company, the fresh capital will be utilised to expand its fleet and scale business operations as it deepens its presence in India’s rapidly evolving mobility ecosystem.

Building Sustainable B2B Mobility at Scale

Founded in 2024 by Karan Jain, Carrum is a fleet management services company providing B2B mobility solutions with a strong focus on decarbonisation and sustainability in transportation.

The Gurugram-based startup operates a green-first fleet model, prioritising compressed natural gas (CNG) and electric vehicles (EVs) to align with India’s low-emission mobility goals.

Technology-Led Fleet Optimisation

Carrum leverages data and technology to optimise fleet operations, including vehicle uptime, driver availability, and operational efficiency. Its data-backed platform addresses key challenges in driver and fleet management, while also aiming to improve livelihoods and ensure regulatory compliance across its operations.

Since inception, Carrum has worked closely with Uber, deploying over 3,000 vehicles on its platform. The company claims it has been profitable since inception and is currently operating at an annualised revenue run rate (ARR) of ₹300 crore, indicating strong unit economics and execution capability.

Expanding Across Urban India

Currently, Carrum operates with Uber across five major citiesMumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Delhi. As part of its ongoing partnership with Uber, the company plans to expand across all major urban centres in India.

To date, Carrum states that it has helped save over 6,000 tonnes of carbon emissions through its CNG-first fleet approach, reinforcing its role in enabling cleaner urban mobility at scale.

With backing from Uber and CarDekho Group, Carrum is positioning itself as a key infrastructure player in India’s transition towards sustainable, tech-enabled fleet operations.
