Ticket9: Santhos Premraj’s Vision for the Future of Live Event Technology

Santhos Premraj is reimagining how live events are planned, marketed, and experienced through Ticket9, a platform designed to simplify the full event journey for organizers and attendees. Built on more than a decade of hands-on event experience, the company combines ticketing, audience engagement, volunteer coordination, sponsorship management, and analytics into one integrated system.

Built from Real Event Pain

Santhos did not arrive at Ticket9 from theory; he arrived from the frontlines of events. After working on more than 100 marathons, concerts, and large-scale live experiences, he saw how fragmented the industry had become, with organizers forced to juggle multiple tools for registration, communication, payments, and attendee management. Ticket9 was created to remove that friction and give organizers a single platform to run events more efficiently. That practical understanding of event operations became the foundation of the product. Instead of trying to solve only one piece of the workflow, the team focused on the entire event lifecycle, from promotion to post-event engagement.

A Platform for the Full Journey

Ticket9 is more than a ticketing product. Santhos sees it as a complete event technology layer that helps organizers build better experiences for audiences while also improving their own operational efficiency. Features like sponsor management and volunteer circles reflect that broader ambition. The platform currently operates across India and supports 180 to 220 events every month in cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. That reach reflects growing demand for tools that can make live events more data-driven and scalable.

Why the Name Matters

The name “Ticket9” was chosen for its simplicity and memorability. Santhos explained that nine, being the largest single-digit number, felt like a strong symbol for a brand that wants to stand out while still being easy to remember. The original thinking behind the name also tied into the platform’s early structure, which envisioned nine categories. Over time, the name came to represent the company’s larger philosophy: keeping live event operations simple, smart, and accessible.

Trust Before Scale

Like many startups in event tech, Ticket9 had to win trust before scale. Early investors were cautious because the event industry is seasonal and often difficult to predict, so the founders had to explain that the company was building much more than a ticketing tool. Santhos said the startup focused first on product development, core team building, and reliable customer support. Word of mouth from successful event executions became one of the strongest growth channels, especially because organizers valued a partner that stood with them during high-pressure moments.

Innovation That Feels Human

Ticket9’s edge lies in how it blends technology with the emotional side of live events. Santhos believes technology should enhance human experiences, not flatten them, and that every attendee should feel the event was designed with them in mind. That thinking led to tools that go beyond basic operations and support communication, analytics, sponsorships, and community-building. The goal is to help organizers create events that are not only efficient but also memorable.

A Bigger Vision for Events

Santhos sees the future of live events as increasingly technology-driven, data-driven, and experience-centric. He believes event platforms will evolve into intelligent systems that help organizers personalize experiences, improve monetization, and build stronger communities. For Ticket9, that means moving beyond traditional ticketing into a broader event technology space. The long-term vision is to become a global platform that helps organizers create smarter events and deeper audience engagement.

Ticket9 is building the infrastructure for a new era of live experiences — one where event management is simpler, more intelligent, and far more connected.
