Praveen Kota turned personal fitness struggles into Swapnow, a nutrition platform delivering personalized meal plans via smart algorithms that match BMR and preferences—proving 80% of results come from diet, not just workouts. Inspired by his college transformation from junk food to protein-packed Indian twists, Praveen spotted a glaring gap: health tech, gyms, and food lacked integration for millennials craving taste without sacrifice.
Filling the FnB Health Void
Swapnow’s fit bar kiosks in co-working spaces, corporates, and gyms make healthier options convenient and affordable, dodging lavish diets or bland fare. The name captures “swapping” must-dos for want-tos—exchanging junk for aspirational, flavorful meals that fit busy lives. Praveen avoids healthcare positioning, targeting those wanting simple upgrades.
Post-COVID pivots from cloud kitchens to kiosks kept momentum alive.
Bootstrapped to Strategic Funding
Starting lean, Swapnow secured INR650K pre-seed then INR1.5CR strategic rounds, fueling product dev, marketing, and ops. Resources prioritize great taste and consistency over gimmicks—building return customers through quality. Partnerships with marketing pros, location connectors, and acquisition experts aim to fortify the moat.
Standardized scaling ensures reliability across regions.
Aspirational Branding Meets Expansion
Millennials drive demand as India’s mindset shifts toward conscious eating; Swapnow educates via personalization, eyeing FMCG extensions and health device integrations. The vision: 1,000 locations impacting FnB broadly, making healthy living mainstream and enjoyable.
Praveen stresses product excellence for acquisition and retention—no shortcuts. Swapnow proves nutrition can be deliciously disruptive, one smart swap at a time.
