Howard Morgan Joins Campus Fund’s Global Advisory Board to Strengthen India’s Student Startup Ecosystem

Bengaluru, July 23: Campus Fund, India’s first SEBI-registered venture capital fund dedicated to student founders, has appointed veteran venture capitalist Dr. Howard L. Morgan to its Global Advisory Board.

Dr. Morgan is Chair and General Partner at B Capital and co-founder of First Round Capital, the early-stage investment firm behind companies such as Uber, Square, Roblox, and Notion. He also launched the Dorm Room Fund in 2012, the first institutional fund in the U.S. focused on student entrepreneurs.

Welcoming the appointment, Richa Bajpai, Founder and CEO of Campus Fund, said Dr. Morgan’s association validates the firm’s mission of backing student founders and marks an important step in building a globally connected investment platform.

Dr. Morgan said India’s campuses are producing ambitious founders across sectors such as deep tech, space, and climate technology, adding that he looks forward to supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs through Campus Fund.

The announcement comes as Campus Fund deploys its $100 million third fund, which aims to invest in around 60 student-led startups over the next four years. Since its launch in 2020, the fund has backed startups including Digantara, EtherealX, Sarla Aviation, GreenGrahi, and Serendipity Space, several of which have gone on to raise follow-on funding from leading global investors.

The appointment further strengthens Campus Fund’s vision of building a global platform dedicated to nurturing India’s youngest founders.
