Spill Games, a Bengaluru-based mobile gaming studio, has raised $3.1 million in a seed funding round co-led by Centre Court Capital and PeerCapital.
The startup had previously secured $750,000 in December 2024 from investors including All In Capital, M-League, and several angel investors.
Funding to Drive Growth and Innovation
According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to:
- Expand its portfolio of live and upcoming games
- Strengthen its internal technology stack
- Selectively grow its team
Building for Speed and Scale
Founded in July 2024 by Om Misra, Tapan Ranjan, and Harsh Garg, Spill Games focuses on creating casual and puzzle games for a global audience.
A key differentiator for the company is its proprietary Spillway engine, along with an internal tooling layer that helps streamline game development. This system allows the team to:
- Accelerate development cycles
- Improve analytics and retention tracking
- Optimise monetisation strategies
- Manage live game operations efficiently
The company claims its technology enables it to launch games nearly 4x faster than traditional studios, while maintaining strong capital efficiency.
Growing Game Portfolio
Spill Games currently operates in the casual and puzzle gaming segment, with five live titles, including:
- Cozy Finds
- Sticker by Number
- Zen Math Crossword
Out of these, three games have already achieved positive unit economics, indicating early signs of sustainable growth.
Expansion Plans
Over the next 18 months, the startup plans to:
- Test 20+ new game prototypes
- Expand into hybrid-casual formats
- Diversify monetisation beyond ads, including in-app purchases
