Atlas Raises $6 Million in Seed Funding to Build AI Tools for Accounting Firms

AI-led accounting platform Atlas has raised $6 million in a seed funding round, co-led by Accel and Stellaris Venture Partners. The fresh capital will be used to expand its AI platform, strengthen its presence in North America, and scale its go-to-market efforts.

Building AI for Modern Accounting Firms

Founded in 2025 by Arpit Maheshwari and Jagmal Singh, Atlas is focused on developing AI-native tools for independent accounting firms. The platform is designed to automate workflows across both core delivery functions and administrative operations, helping firms improve efficiency.

Atlas follows a human-in-the-loop approach, where AI assists accountants in executing tasks while allowing them to focus on more strategic and high-value work.

Driving Efficiency Through Automation

According to the company, its platform has already demonstrated efficiency gains of over 5x in targeted workflows, making it a strong solution for firms looking to streamline operations.

The startup is particularly targeting independent accounting firms in North America, a market currently facing a shortage of skilled professionals. By automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks, Atlas aims to help these firms manage workloads more effectively.

Expansion Plans Ahead

With the new funding, Atlas plans to grow its network of partner accounting firms, deepen its product capabilities, and continue building solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the accounting industry.

As AI adoption accelerates across professional services, Atlas is positioning itself to play a key role in transforming how accounting firms operate.
