H2LooP Raises $2 Million Seed Round to Advance AI Tools for Embedded Systems

Deeptech startup H2LooP has secured $2 million (approximately Rs 18.59 crore) in a seed funding round co-led by Speciale Invest and 3one4 Capital. The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand into high-complexity sectors such as data centres, UAVs, and robotics, where reliability, real-time performance, and strong data control are essential.

Building AI for Hardware-Centric Systems

Founded in May 2025 by Sairanjan Mishra and Pulkit Agrawal, the Bengaluru-based startup focuses on AI-driven development tools for embedded systems, hardware engineering, and software that powers hardware. H2LooP is working on AI-native coding assistants, small language models (SLMs) for low-level systems like firmware and drivers, and hardware-aware debugging tools. The goal is to simplify and speed up embedded software development, especially in industries where systems are complex and mission-critical.

The company is targeting sectors such as automotive, aerospace, robotics, and semiconductors, where precision and performance are non-negotiable.

Bridging the Gap Between Hardware and Software

One of the key challenges H2LooP aims to solve is the disconnect between hardware engineering and software development. Its platform is designed to understand hardware constraints, safety standards, and complex codebases, making it more effective than general-purpose coding tools.

The startup offers domain-specific AI models for C and C++ embedded code, which can operate in secure or air-gapped environments. This is particularly important for industries like defence and semiconductors, where protecting intellectual property and sensitive data is critical.

Real-World Deployments and Capabilities

According to the company, H2LooP is already working with semiconductor companies, defence organisations, and telecom firms on real-world use cases.

Its platform is capable of:

  • Analysing firmware and silicon specifications
  • Automating debugging of crash logs
  • Converting technical documents, including PDFs, into actionable training data

These capabilities help engineers reduce manual effort and improve efficiency in building and maintaining embedded systems.

Aiming to Redefine Coding Assistants

H2LooP is positioning itself as a specialised alternative to general coding tools like GitHub Copilot, focusing specifically on low-level systems engineering. By building AI tools tailored for embedded environments, the startup aims to bring more precision, security, and speed to hardware-driven industries.
