Accel and Google AI Futures Fund Unveil 2026 Atoms Cohort

Venture capital firm Accel and Google’s AI Futures Fund (AIFF) have announced the five early-stage startups selected for the 2026 Atoms AI Cohort. Chosen from a massive pool of over 4,000 applicants, these companies represent the next wave of AI-driven innovation emerging from India’s tech ecosystem.

Strategic Investment and Infrastructure

Each selected startup will receive a joint investment of up to $2 million, funded equally by Accel and Google AIFF. Beyond the capital injection, the cohort members gain access to up to $350,000 in compute credits, allowing them to leverage Google Cloud, Gemini, and Google DeepMind’s frontier resources to scale their technical infrastructure.

The partnership aims to bridge the gap between initial concept and global deployment by combining Accel’s long-standing experience in backing Indian unicorns with Google’s world-class AI research and hardware.

Meet the 2026 Atoms AI Cohort

The selected startups span diverse high-impact sectors, ranging from scientific research to industrial automation:

  • K-Dense: Developing an “AI co-scientist” designed to accelerate breakthroughs in life sciences, physics, and chemistry.

  • Dodge.ai: Focused on modernizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems through the integration of autonomous AI agents.

  • Persistence Labs: Utilizing voice AI technology to transform large-scale call center operations.

  • Zingroll: Creating AI-native entertainment and streaming platforms for the consumer market.

  • LevelPlane: Advancing precision-led industrial automation specifically for the automotive and aerospace manufacturing sectors.

A Track Record of Early-Stage Success

Accel’s Atoms program has become a vital catalyst for India’s pre-seed ecosystem. To date, Accel has backed over 45 companies through the initiative, which have collectively raised more than $300 million in follow-on funding.

By partnering with Google’s AI Futures Fund—a global entity dedicated to responsible AI scaling—the 2026 cohort is positioned to benefit from direct mentorship from DeepMind teams and early access to experimental technology. This collaboration underscores India’s growing importance as a hub for building AI solutions intended for the global market.
