Amazon Crosses $20 Billion in Cumulative E-Commerce Exports from India, Sets New $80 Billion Target by 2030

Amazon has announced that it has surpassed $20 billion in cumulative e-commerce exports from India through its Global Selling program, achieving its revised 2025 goal ahead of schedule. The company has now set an ambitious new target — to enable $80 billion in exports by 2030, reinforcing its long-term commitment to empowering Indian businesses on the global stage.

Launched in 2015, Amazon’s Global Selling program enables Indian exporters to sell across more than 18 international marketplaces, including the US, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Germany. The platform now boasts over 2 lakh Indian exporters, marking a 33% increase in its seller base over the past year.

So far, exporters on Amazon Global Selling have sold more than 75 crore Made-in-India products to global customers, spanning categories such as home décor, beauty, fashion, health, and personal care.

India’s Export Hubs Driving Global Growth

Major exporting states include Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Haryana, which together account for the largest share of exports. Interestingly, smaller towns such as Karur, Erode, Panipat, Junagadh, Anand, and Haridwar have also emerged as new export powerhouses — each generating between $22 million and $147 million in sales during 2024.

Fastest Growing Product Categories

Over the past decade, the program has witnessed rapid growth in several categories. According to Amazon, health and personal care (45%) and beauty (45%) products have shown the highest 10-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR), followed by toys (44%), home (39%), apparel (37%), and furniture (36%).

Building the Next Phase of Global Exports

Srinidhi Kalvapudi, Head of Amazon Global Selling India, said,

“Reaching the $20 billion milestone ahead of target is a proud moment for us and our Indian sellers. We’re now focused on expanding exports through technology innovation, capacity building, and partnerships that make global trade simpler for MSMEs.”

To support this vision, Amazon plans to continue working closely with Indian MSMEs to simplify cross-border commerce — including compliance, logistics, payments, and international operations. The company will also release its upcoming Exports Digest 2025, providing comprehensive insights on the state of India’s e-commerce exports.

With this milestone, Amazon reaffirms its role as a key driver in India’s export-led digital economy, empowering small and medium businesses to access global demand efficiently.
