Coluxe, a new-age fine jewellery startup founded by serial entrepreneur Priyanka Gill, has successfully closed its friends and family funding round. The round saw participation from a curated group of marquee investors and founders, including Startup Sherpas, HCL co-founder Ajai Chowdhry, ICICI director Tej Kapoor, Sairee Chahal (Founding Partner), Kunal Chowdhry, Rachin Dewan, and Kunal Milwani.
The fresh infusion of capital will be directed towards the launch of Coluxe’s digital storefront in August 2025 and towards strengthening its product catalogue and operational infrastructure.
Coluxe was launched earlier this year by Gill, who is known for her successful track record in media and consumer brands. The brand is carving a niche by offering modular, stackable jewellery crafted with certified lab-grown diamonds and coloured gemstones—designed specifically for daily wear. Its mission is to redefine everyday luxury for modern Indian consumers seeking beauty that aligns with their values.
“Lab-grown diamonds are unlocking access in a market where only 6% of gold jewellery buyers own a single diamond. At the same time, consumer behaviour is evolving—women are now self-purchasing and seeking everyday fine jewellery that reflects their identity, not just tradition,” said Priyanka Gill, founder and CEO of Coluxe.
The brand’s soft launch earlier this month—via a limited-edition Rakhi capsule—was sold out within a week through a WhatsApp-based commerce approach, signalling strong early traction. The upcoming August collection will feature over 300 SKUs, spanning rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and signature stacking sets.
India’s jewellery market is valued at over $80 billion, and Coluxe aims to tap into a fast-growing segment within it: lab-grown diamond jewellery. The company will compete with brands such as Fiona Diamonds, Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds, Jewelbox, and Aditya Birla-backed GIVA.
With evolving consumer preferences, Coluxe is poised to become a frontrunner in the everyday fine jewellery category by blending ethical luxury, modular design, and digital-first distribution.
