New Delhi, 26th May 2025 — The India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 is set to return with even greater scale and ambition. With the theme ‘Innovate to Transform’, the 9th edition of Asia’s largest digital technology platform will run from 8th to 11th October 2025 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. The theme, unveiled by Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of the North East Region, signals India’s firm commitment to leveraging innovation as a catalyst for real, wide-scale transformation.
Addressing a packed gathering of telecom leaders, technologists, and media, Minister Scindia emphasized that India is no longer waiting for the future—it is actively shaping it. “We are among the top six countries filing for 6G patents, and within just 22 months, we developed our own domestic 4G telecom stack. Our vision is rooted in DSS—Design, Solve, Scale—a formula that will drive India’s digital destiny,” he said.
Organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), IMC 2025 is expected to host over 1.5 lakh visitors, 400+ exhibitors, 7,000+ delegates, and participants from more than 150 countries. The event’s reach goes far beyond technology, touching upon themes of sustainability, inclusion, and empowerment through connectivity.
Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, DoT, captured the event’s rising global relevance: “India missed the 4G bus but is now riding alongside the world on 5G and is ready to lead in 6G. IMC is not just about telecom anymore—it is about shaping India’s technological future across all sectors.”
The ASPIRE program, a flagship IMC initiative launched in 2023, will return with an expanded lineup of 500+ startups engaging with 300+ investors and VCs in live pitch sessions, mentorship programs, and innovation showcases. In 2024, ASPIRE proved to be a springboard for early-stage innovations—2025 aims to double that impact.
Abhijit Kishore, Chairman of COAI, noted how IMC has matured into a movement over the years: “Since 2017, IMC has brought together the brightest minds, boldest ideas, and the best of technology. This platform has become central to India’s digital transformation story—and 2025 will take that legacy further.”
