Nuvie Raises $450K to Make Healthy Eating Effortless—and Delicious

Bengaluru, June 2025: Functional food and beverage startup Nuvie has raised $450,000 (~₹3.8 crore) in its maiden pre-seed funding round, led by startup accelerator PedalStart. The round also saw participation from well-known startup ecosystem players including Mukesh Bansal (Founder of Myntra, Cult.fit, and Nurix), Ayyappan R, Chanakya Gupta, and Arun Sharma.

Founded in May 2024 by Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan, Nuvie is on a mission to redefine how India eats healthy. The Bengaluru-based brand is blending wellness with indulgence by offering “better for you” alternatives to everyday treats. With products like protein-packed, lactose-free milkshakes and an upcoming range that includes a protein chocolate bar and “Proffee” (protein-infused cold coffee), Nuvie aims to make nutrition feel effortless and enjoyable—something consumers can look forward to rather than compromise for.

The fresh capital will be channelled into expanding the company’s product lineup, investing in brand-building efforts, creating engaging content, scaling its retail and gym distribution footprint, and unlocking strategic growth channels. Since launch, the startup claims to have achieved over ₹10 lakh in monthly revenue and is already present in more than 100 premium retail stores across major metros such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Nuvie products are also available in over 200 gyms, and the brand is rapidly scaling its digital presence through quick commerce platforms like Blinkit, Instamart, and BigBasket, in addition to its own direct-to-consumer website.

The founders credit their early traction to a strong focus on taste, accessibility, and consumer-centric innovation. With growing health consciousness among Indian consumers and the rise of functional foods, Nuvie is positioning itself as a lifestyle-first wellness brand designed for the modern palate. The company is now eyeing an ambitious target of closing calendar year 2025 with an annualised revenue run-rate of ₹10 crore.
