Bengaluru-based startup MyWonder has officially launched from stealth with what it calls the world’s first safe, screen-free personal device designed for children aged 3 to 10 years. The company has raised USD 300,000 in pre-seed funding from Antler India and has also been selected for the Google for Startups AI First Accelerator program.
Founded by Chandramouli K and Venkat Potluri, both parents and second-time entrepreneurs, MyWonder aims to redefine how young children learn and play—without the need for screens. The founders leveraged their deep experience in AI and consumer technology to build a hardware-first, AI-native platform that fosters curiosity, creativity, and safe engagement.
“At home, I saw firsthand how screens capture children’s attention but limit imagination,” said Chandramouli K, Co-founder of MyWonder. “We wanted to create something equally engaging yet healthy and enriching—technology that inspires wonder instead of dependence.”
Venkat Potluri added, “This is one of the most exciting opportunities of our time—to build a product that’s as captivating as digital entertainment, but designed for healthier, more imaginative childhoods.”
MyWonder’s device blends AI-driven conversational play, adaptive voice games, and interactive characters, offering children personalized, values-driven engagement. The startup’s beta testing showed strong early traction, with 60% of children using the product three times a week, a median engagement of 81 minutes per day, and nearly half spending over four hours on peak days.
Positioned at the intersection of education, play, and technology, MyWonder is entering India’s USD 2 billion edtech hardware market, which is growing over 12% annually. Globally, the segment is valued at around USD 50 billion and is projected to double by 2030, creating vast opportunities for category innovation.
The company has ambitious plans to capture 3% of India’s USD 1.7 billion edtech hardware market and expand globally within three years. It targets 100,000 unit sales in the first year, translating to USD 4.5 million in projected revenue.
MyWonder is currently partnering with a leading Bengaluru school network (7,000 students) to pilot its Screen-Free Digital Tutor integrated with Google Classroom, and is collaborating with publishers such as Hachette India alongside international licensing partners from the US and UK. Preschools will act as experience centers where children and parents can explore the device firsthand.
Backing the founders’ vision, Rajiv Srivatsa, Founding Partner at Antler India, said:
“Chandramouli and Venkat are reimagining how children learn and play. MyWonder combines AI, empathy, and playfulness in a way that keeps learning meaningful and parents connected.”
With its launch, MyWonder positions itself as a global category creator from India, bringing together the best of AI, learning, and child safety—a screen-free innovation designed to nurture curiosity, not consumption.
