BytePe, a new tech subscription platform, has been launched to provide Indian consumers with a more flexible and affordable way to access the latest smartphones.
Founded by Jayant Jha, former Flipkart leader and co-founder of Yaantra, BytePe introduces a subscription-based model that challenges India’s traditional smartphone ownership approach. Instead of saving for months or committing to EMIs, users can now subscribe to premium devices, paying monthly fees that are significantly lower than EMI costs, with the added benefit of yearly upgrades.
At launch, BytePe is offering subscription plans for the newly released iPhone 17 Series — including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Subscribers receive one-time damage protection, assured buyback, and upgrade options at the end of their tenure. For customers preferring outright purchases, BytePe is offering 50% assured buyback at the end of 12 or 24 months, coupled with comprehensive protection.
BytePe’s “Pay for what you use” model allows consumers to save up to 50% compared to EMIs, with no upfront costs or hidden charges. The company also plans to roll out bundled options that integrate insurance, buyback, and flexible upgrades into a single plan.
With BytePe, Jayant Jha is aiming to disrupt India’s smartphone market by making premium technology more accessible while redefining the way consumers think about ownership.
