IIT Kanpur’s E-Summit 2025: Global Startup Hub to Convene in Kanpur from Jan 23-25

The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of IIT Kanpur has officially announced the opening of registrations for its annual flagship event, E-Summit’25. Set to take place from January 23rd to 25th, 2026, at the IIT Kanpur campus, the summit aims to be a melting pot for venture capitalists, industry titans, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

This year’s edition promises to be a global affair, notably hosting the finale of UpStart 2025, which will feature regional winners from Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and—for the first time—Seoul, South Korea.

Key Highlights of E-Summit 2025

The three-day event is designed to bridge the gap between innovation and execution through several high-impact tracks:

  • Startup Expo: A grand stage for innovative startups to showcase their products to a diverse audience of investors, government officials, and academicians.

  • UpStart 2025 Finale: The flagship business model pitching competition where top-tier global talent will compete for recognition and support.

  • Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC): A dedicated platform for school students to pitch business ideas and foster an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age.

  • Fireside Chats & Panels: Insights from industry veterans. Previous speakers have included founders from BoAt, Cred, Zerodha, and NoBroker.

Workshops with Tech Giants

E-Summit 2025 has partnered with global tech leaders including Meta, Google, and Microsoft to host specialized workshops. These sessions will cover:

  • Design Thinking: Enhancing problem-solving frameworks.

  • Strategic Branding: Building powerful identities in a competitive market.

Fostering a National Dialogue

The E-Cell team emphasizes that the summit is more than just a competition; it is a “communication funnel” for the Indian startup ecosystem.

“Our goal is to create a vibrant ecosystem where entrepreneurs are not only able to coordinate with each other but also create a direct communication funnel with important stakeholders like investors and government officials,” the E-Cell team stated.
