The European Business Group (EBG) Federation officially released the 23rd Edition of its Annual Position Paper 2025 on Friday evening at the Herb House, Taj President. The high-profile launch brought together a powerful collective of European business leaders, Indian policymakers, and industry experts to chart a course for sustainable growth and deeper economic cooperation.
Marking nearly three decades of advocacy since its inception in 1997, the 2025 Position Paper serves as a comprehensive policy roadmap. It highlights key regulatory priorities across 17 sectors—including digital infrastructure, energy transition, and manufacturing—aimed at fostering a future-ready business environment in Maharashtra and across India.
Strengthening the Indo-European Economic Corridor
The event was hosted by Joiel Akilan (Chairman, Mumbai Chapter) and Kersi Hilloo (Chairman Emeritus, Mumbai Chapter), who emphasized the EBG’s role as a trusted bridge for European Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in India.

The officials reaffirmed Maharashtra’s “red carpet” policy for global investors, highlighting the state’s commitment to industrial clusters, logistics connectivity, and stable policy frameworks for European enterprises.
