New Delhi – In a move that reinforces its commitment to precision agriculture, agritech giant DeHaat has acquired NEERX, a startup known for its real-time soil and weather monitoring technology, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will bring NEERX’s powerful sensor-based analytics into DeHaat’s growing suite of tech-enabled farming solutions.
At the core of this deal is NEERX’s flagship product SHOOL, a cutting-edge, ISRO-validated soil sensor that delivers hyper-local insights on irrigation, nutrient needs, and overall crop health. By integrating SHOOL into its platform, DeHaat aims to equip farmers with real-time data that can significantly enhance decision-making on the ground — from when to irrigate, to how much fertilizer to use, to how weather patterns may affect yields.
NEERX, founded by Nikita and Harsh, has built its system by marrying on-ground sensors with satellite imagery and cloud-based analytics. The result? A data-rich dashboard that empowers farmers to optimize resources and improve farm productivity. Both founders will now join the DeHaat team to help scale this technology across the country.
“We see this integration as a transformative step toward truly data-driven agriculture,” said a DeHaat spokesperson. “By merging NEERX’s sensor tech with our extensive farmer network, we are creating a smarter, more resilient farming ecosystem.”
DeHaat currently operates in over 12 states, supporting millions of smallholder farmers through its network of 15,000+ DeHaat Centres and 1,000+ agribusiness partners. The company offers end-to-end services — from input delivery and crop advisory to market linkages — and continues to deepen its digital footprint in Indian agriculture.
This acquisition comes on the heels of DeHaat’s earlier purchase of AgriCentral from Olam Agri in January, signaling a broader push to consolidate agri-tech capabilities and expand its innovation-led ecosystem.
As Indian agriculture inches toward greater digitization, the addition of real-time soil and weather intelligence could be a game-changer — especially for small farmers navigating climate variability, rising input costs, and yield uncertainties.
With NEERX’s precision tools now in its arsenal, DeHaat is doubling down on its mission: to make farming more predictable, profitable, and tech-enabled — from seed to sale.
