19 February 2025 – Bengaluru, India: BYTES, India’s first AI-powered ADAS for two-wheeler mobility, has emerged from stealth mode and secured funding from Nikhil Kamath’s WTFund as part of its second cohort for 2024. This funding marks a significant milestone in BYTES’ mission to transform road safety using cutting-edge AI and computer vision technology.
Every year, over 50 million road accidents occur globally, with two-wheelers accounting for 60% of them. Human error contributes to 90% of these crashes, and the absence of robust safety features increases the risk of fatality by 40%. Addressing this urgent issue, BYTES has developed an AI-powered safety system designed to predict and prevent accidents before they happen. The company’s vision-based technology detects high-risk scenarios and provides real-time assistance to riders, reducing the chances of collisions and fatalities.

With this funding, BYTES is now launching pilot programs with leading two-wheeler OEMs, integrating its AI safety system into real-world use cases. These pilots will help refine the system for mass adoption and establish BYTES as the standard for two-wheeler safety. Additionally, the company is preparing to close its Pre-Seed funding round in the next two months, working with strategic investors who align with its vision of making roads safer through AI-driven innovation. This next phase of fundraising will enable BYTES to accelerate product development and scale its technology for widespread deployment.
