Early-stage investment platform Venture Catalysts has announced a complete exit from women’s hygiene brand Pee Safe, marking a significant win for the incubator following the startup’s recent $32 million funding round.
The exit was facilitated through a secondary sale as part of a Series C round led by global healthcare private equity firm OrbiMed. By offloading its stake, Venture Catalysts delivered a 9.6x multiple on invested capital (MOIC) for its limited partners, achieving an XIRR of 30.53%.
A Nine-Year Growth Trajectory
Venture Catalysts first backed Pee Safe in August 2017, entering during the brand’s pre-Series funding stage. At the time, Pee Safe was primarily known for its flagship toilet seat sanitizer spray. Since then, the brand has diversified into a comprehensive wellness portfolio including period care, grooming, and intimate hygiene products.
The exit, finalized in January 2026, underscores the brand’s successful transition from a niche startup to an omnichannel leader. Key growth metrics include:

The liquidity event highlights a growing trend of secondary exits in the Indian startup ecosystem, allowing early-stage backers to realize gains while private equity players like OrbiMed provide the capital necessary for late-stage scaling.
