Univest, the advisory-led investment platform, has officially charted its course into the mutual fund advisory space. The announcement came during the Wealth Multiplier Summit 2026, held in the capital on February 20, marking a strategic expansion for the fintech firm beyond its established stock and derivative research services.
The summit, which drew a high-profile audience of policymakers and financial leaders, served as a platform for Univest to outline its vision for “engineered” wealth creation in India.
Democratizing Institutional-Grade Research
Founded in 2022, Univest has carved a niche as a “broking superapp” powered by SEBI-registered Research Analysts (RAs) and Investment Advisers (RIAs). By entering the mutual fund segment, the company aims to bring professional risk frameworks to retail investors across the country.
“Wealth creation should not be accidental. It should be engineered,” stated Pranit Arora, Co-Founder and CEO of Univest. “We are building a future where every Indian investor, whether in a metro city or a Tier 4 town, can access the same depth of research and disciplined asset allocation that institutions rely on.”
A Convergence of Financial Titans
The event was supported by some of the biggest names in Indian finance, including HDFC Mutual Fund, Mirae Asset, ICCL, and NSDL. The summit was graced by Chief Guest Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament, alongside industry veterans such as Pankaj Makkar (MD, BII), Ashu Madan (MD, JM Financial), and Sameer Patil.
Panel discussions at the summit tackled the complexities of modern investing, focusing on:
-
Navigating Volatility: Strategies for maintaining growth during flat or bearish market cycles.
-
Tech-Driven Advisory: The role of AI and data in automating high-quality mutual fund recommendations.
-
Structural Shifts: How India’s wealth management ecosystem is evolving from speculative trading to research-backed portfolios.
Scaling the Advisory Frontier
The expansion follows Univest’s $10 million Series A led by Bertelsmann India Investments (BII), reinforcing its position as India’s leading advisory-first broking platform and marking its strategic entry into Mutual Fund Advisory.
By integrating mutual fund advisory into its existing suite of services, Univest is positioning itself as a comprehensive wealth management destination for an increasingly sophisticated Indian retail investor base.
