Sedna HoReCa Raises Rs 50 Crore to Reinvent India’s Hotel and Restaurant Supply Chain

In a significant step toward transforming the hospitality supply ecosystem, Hyderabad-based startup Sedna HoReCa has secured Rs 50 crore ($5.8 million) in fresh funding, with Anicut Capital leading the round. The new investment follows Sedna’s earlier raise of $1.44 million and will help the company scale rapidly over the next year.

At its core, Sedna is building India’s first fully integrated, tech-powered B2B platform tailored for the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industry—a segment often plagued by outdated systems, procurement inefficiencies, and fragmented logistics.

Launched in July 2022 by Mahadevan Narayanamoni and Saurabh Pandey, Sedna combines software, supply chain management, and food product solutions under one roof—a bold move aiming to ease the operational load of hospitality businesses across the country.

The platform operates across three major verticals:

  • B2B SaaS tools like SupplyNote (inventory management) and BillNote (point-of-sale systems for cafés and restaurants),
  • Commerce and distribution, including Vyap, a smart supply platform, and SupplyLink, a tailored logistics solution for the hospitality industry,
  • Ready-to-cook and ready-to-serve food products catering to HoReCa businesses, food courts, D2C brands, and industrial kitchens.

As Mahadevan and Saurabh see it, the goal is simple but ambitious: solve everyday pain points for hotels and restaurants—unreliable supplies, pilferage, high costs, and inefficiencies—and replace them with predictability, transparency, and speed.

To support this expansion, Sedna is setting up a new food production unit in Bengaluru while scaling up an existing facility under the HU brand. Over the next 12 months, the startup plans to take its operations to 20 Indian cities, enabling broader access to its streamlined platform.

By weaving technology into the fabric of traditional hospitality operations, Sedna is positioning itself not just as a service provider but as a partner in growth for every restaurant, café, and cloud kitchen looking to scale smartly.
