Pet care startup BhaoBhao raises $200K from angel investors to expand services

Mumbai-based pet care startup BhaoBhao has raised $200,000 in a funding round from angel investors, with plans to expand its footprint across new geographies.

Founded by Aditi Sanganeria and Anshika Maheshwari, BhaoBhao specializes in in-home pet grooming services for dogs and cats, delivered by certified and trained professionals. The startup focuses on providing a convenient, hygienic, and stress-free grooming experience at the pet owner’s home, using sanitized equipment and leaving the space clean post-service.

Since launch, BhaoBhao has served over 3,000 clients in Mumbai, achieving a 95% repeat rate, with services priced between ₹1,500–2,000 per visit.

The company is also in talks to raise a larger $4–5 million funding round by year-end to fuel its next stage of expansion and bring its premium pet care services to more households.

India’s pet care industry, currently valued at $3.5 billion, is expected to grow rapidly, driven by rising pet ownership and increasing demand for specialized services like grooming, boarding, and healthcare.
