MedVital Raises Rs 8.4 Crore to Revolutionize Wound Care with Smart, Accessible Solutions

In a significant boost to India’s medtech ecosystem, MedVital, a promising startup specializing in skin repair and wound care, has successfully raised Rs 8.4 crore in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Nihar Parikh’s 4point0 Health Ventures and attracted notable participation from the founders of Tata 1mg, NephroPlus, SafeExpress, Eye Q Hospital, Hexa Health, and AstroTalk — a testament to the strong belief in MedVital’s vision.

Co-founded by Varun Gupta and Tarun Bansal, MedVital is on a mission to transform wound care and minimally invasive aesthetics through a full-stack platform that combines innovative biomaterials with smart monitoring technologies. Their flagship product, NoWound, is a compact and digitally enabled negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) device designed to accelerate and control the healing of complex wounds. Importantly, the device is locally manufactured, reflecting the startup’s commitment to accessibility and quality.

With the fresh capital, MedVital plans to expand its product portfolio by introducing liquid chitosan-based dressings — known for their natural healing properties — as well as venturing into dermal and hair regeneration solutions. The funds will also be channeled into strengthening their supply chain and scaling distribution networks across hospitals, clinics, and home-care settings, ensuring that cutting-edge wound care reaches patients wherever they are.

MedVital’s integrated approach to wound management, leveraging next-generation biomaterials and digital monitoring, is poised to fill a crucial gap in healthcare — offering patients faster, safer healing with greater convenience. This latest funding round underscores the growing interest in medtech innovations that combine technology and biology to deliver impactful healthcare solutions.

As MedVital steps forward, its journey is one to watch closely — a story of smart innovation aimed at healing wounds and restoring lives with care, precision, and compassion.
