Bengaluru-based climate tech company FluxGen Sustainable Technologies has secured Rs 28 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund. The round also saw participation from Rainmatter, Gameskraft Technologies, Intersection Ventures, and Force Ventures, alongside existing investors Axilor Ventures and Arali Ventures.
The fresh capital will be utilized to expand FluxGen’s AI and IoT-powered water management solutions, tap into new industrial markets, and enhance customer acquisition efforts in India and globally, the company stated in a press release.
AI-Powered Water Intelligence for Industries
Founded in 2021 by Ganesh Shankar and Emanuel Deepak, FluxGen specializes in end-to-end water intelligence solutions, offering real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and regulatory compliance for industries. Its patent-pending products, along with the flagship platform AquaGen, help companies optimize water usage, reduce wastage, and mitigate operational and supply-chain risks associated with water consumption.
The company boasts a client base of over 110 organizations, including industry leaders such as TATA Steel, Aditya Birla Group, Care Hospitals, Mahindra Group, and Microsoft. It primarily serves high water-use sectors such as metals and mining, food and beverage, textiles, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and healthcare. According to FluxGen, its customers have reported up to a 30% reduction in water consumption through its solutions.
Addressing a Growing Market Opportunity
The Indian smart water management market is projected to surpass Rs 42,000 crore over the next 7–10 years, with a significant Rs 5,000 crore SaaS opportunity annually. Recognizing this potential, FluxGen is leveraging advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Geospatial Imaging, and Cloud Computing to enhance water data transparency and efficiency.
By enabling real-time monitoring and providing prescriptive insights, FluxGen helps industries optimize water systems, minimize wastage, and strengthen water management strategies while mitigating risks.
