Dessert Disruption: FES Cafe Raises $1 Million Pre-Series A to Scale Gen Z ‘Third Space’ Across Delhi NCR

FES Cafe, a rapidly expanding cafe chain positioned as India’s first 100% eggless dessert-led concept, has raised approximately $1 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The investment validates the brand’s unique approach to building a “third space” that strongly resonates with young Indian consumers.

The round was led by 12 Flags, a global consumer fund founded by Rakesh Kapoor (former Global CEO of Reckitt Benckiser), signaling high-level confidence in FES Cafe’s scalability. Existing investor Wolfpack Labs, a venture studio co-founded by Aakash Anand and Prerna Gupta, also doubled down on its commitment.

Flipping the Script: Desserts as the Main Event

FES Cafe, founded by entrepreneur Vidur Mayor, is reimagining the cafe experience by placing indulgence and community at the center of its model. Targeting a loyal base of Gen Z and millennial customers, the brand offers more than just food:

  • Dessert-First Menu: Known for its New York-inspired chunky, freshly baked cookies, seasonal puddings, and alternative-ingredient cakes, alongside savory dishes.
  • Culture & Community: The cafes serve as cultural hubs, featuring experiential community formats like Coffee Raves and arcade game sections.
  • Inclusivity: The 100% eggless menu caters to a wide demographic, reflecting a growing consumer preference for inclusive, niche-led product innovation.

“FES Cafe started with a simple belief: desserts deserve to be celebrated. With 12 Flags’ and Wolfpack’s support, we’re ready to take that vision to more neighborhoods, creating dessert-first cafes that double as community spaces,” said Vidur Mayor, Founder and CEO of FES Cafe.

Strategic Expansion into Delhi NCR

The fresh capital will be used to fuel an aggressive expansion and operational strengthening, specifically focused on the high-growth Delhi NCR market.

  • Geographic Expansion: Scaling the brand’s footprint across Delhi NCR.
  • Operational Excellence: Strengthening delivery and maintaining product consistency through the establishment of a central production kitchen (CPK).
  • Talent Acquisition: Attracting top-tier talent to lead the brand’s next phase of growth towards its ambitious goal of 100+ stores by FY27.

With a strong focus on quality and brand culture, FES Cafe is positioning itself as a major contender in India’s rapidly evolving QSR and cafe segment, ready to capture the next generation of food and beverage consumers.
