Cureous Labs, a Bengaluru-based medical technology startup, has raised ₹1.66 crore in a seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with participation from Anthill Ventures.
The funds will be used to manufacture the first batch of its flagship product Eturnal, build inventory, expand its sales & business development team, launch its first disinfection centre, and complete product safety testing and certifications.
Founded by Asish Mohandas, Cureous Labs develops automated patient repositioning systems that help prevent pressure injuries and improve caregiver efficiency. Priced at one-fifth of international alternatives, Eturnal is designed for hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and home care.
The startup claims its device has already recorded 30,000+ hours of use and 14,000+ automated patient turns.
Cureous Labs also plans to expand its B2B product portfolio in India, tapping into a global elderly & bedridden patient care market valued at $277 billion and a total addressable market in India worth $8.34 billion.
