Contrails AI Secures $1 Mn Pre-Seed Funding from Huddle Ventures and IAN Group to Strengthen Trust & Safety Infrastructure

Trust and safety-tech startup Contrails AI has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round co-led by Huddle Ventures and IAN Group.

The Bengaluru-based company plans to use the fresh capital to scale its pilots across the US and EU, spanning industries such as marketplaces, media, financial services, and digital platforms, according to a company statement.

Founded by Digvijay Singh and Amitabh Kumar, Contrails AI focuses on helping internet companies safeguard their ecosystems in the era of generative AI. Its proprietary forensics and manipulation detection AI provides real-time, explainable analysis across multiple content formats — including video, image, audio, and text — enabling platform review teams to proactively detect and mitigate cyber threats.

By integrating deep-tech innovation with multimodal AI expertise, Contrails AI is building a compliance-ready safety infrastructure designed to protect digital ecosystems globally. The startup’s solutions are already trusted by leading organizations across media, marketplaces, and finance sectors.

The company aims to drive the adoption of trust and safety frameworks through collaborations with technology and service providers, ultimately building a more secure and interconnected digital landscape.

According to market research cited by Contrails, deepfake files have surged from 500,000 in 2023 to an estimated 8 million in 2025, marking a 16-fold rise, while phishing attacks cause losses of $17,700 every minute — underscoring the urgent need for scalable, AI-driven safety solutions.
