New Delhi-based D2C beauty startup AntiNorm has secured ₹28 crore in a seed funding round led by Fireside Ventures, with renewed participation from existing investors V3 Ventures and Rukam Capital, both of which have increased their earlier commitments.
Founded in 2024 by Aparna Saxena, AntiNorm builds high-performance, multifunctional beauty and personal care products designed to simplify routines for working Indian women. The startup’s early product range includes a dry shampoo, an all-in-one hair cream, and a lip treatment, developed as efficient alternatives to multi-step beauty regimes.
Fresh Capital to Fuel Expansion & R&D
The company plans to deploy the newly raised funds across three major growth areas:
-
Expansion of digital and offline distribution
-
Strengthening in-house research & development
-
Scaling its direct-to-consumer operations
A portion of the capital will also support hiring across product development, growth, R&D, and operations, while ensuring the availability of inventory for its fast-moving products.
Consumer Traction & Product Pipeline
Since its launch, AntiNorm claims to have seen strong early traction, reporting month-on-month double-digit repeat purchase rates and rising demand across channels.
The brand is now preparing to expand its portfolio, with up to seven new products planned over the next year across beauty, personal care, and hybrid categories. These formulations will focus on climate-suited, multitasking performance — a segment seeing rapid consumer adoption.
Positioning in India’s Growing D2C Beauty Market
AntiNorm enters a competitive yet fast-growing market dominated by players such as Mamaearth, Minimalist, Plum, Sugar Cosmetics, and WOW Skin Science. With Indian consumers increasingly seeking time-efficient, results-driven products, AntiNorm aims to carve a niche in functional beauty innovation.
Speaking about the company’s mission, Founder Aparna Saxena said:
“At AntiNorm, our goal has always been to simplify beauty for women who want results without pressure. The early consumer response has reinforced our belief that there is room for functional innovation in everyday beauty.”
