In an exclusive interview with Indian Startup Times, Rishab Chandra, co-founder of TrackerSuite.AI, explained why he moved from a decade of running a technology services company to building a platform designed for “last mile digitization” of small businesses. His conviction was straightforward: existing ERP and CRM solutions are often too expensive and complex for small teams, built for large, digitally literate organizations rather than the millions of small businesses still operating on paper, WhatsApp and spreadsheets.
The genesis: solving “zero to one” digitization for small businesses
Rishab moved back from the U.S. in 2012 and ran a technology services company for ten years. Over that period, he identified a market gap where existing ERP and CRM tools were too expensive and designed for large, digitally literate teams. TaskTracker Private Limited was formed in late 2021 or early 2022 to solve “zero to one” digitization problems for small businesses. The product evolved from a single-feature task tracking tool into the current AI-enabled platform known as Tracker Suite. The company has grown to serve over 90,000 users and 2,500 businesses across 56 countries. Initial funding included an investment of approximately ₹50 lakh by Rishab and his co-founder, who pooled their own capital to prove the concept before seeking external money.
Breaking barriers via accessibility and vernacular support
A core value proposition of TrackerSuite.AI centers on accessibility, affordability and ease of use. Rishab highlights that the software can be implemented in under 15 minutes regardless of a user’s digital literacy. The platform supports multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil and Arabic, to assist users who prefer communicating in their native dialects. For Rishab, language barriers are a major reason why technology adoption stalls at the last mile. Tracker Suite aims to address this by offering solutions in native languages and designing a UI/UX so simple that it has received positive recognition even from professional designers at companies like Oracle. The goal is to make digitization feel like a natural extension of how small businesses already work, not a complex system they need to “learn.”
Brand identity, trust and early growth
The name TaskTracker was chosen because it directly describes the core function of tracking tasks for customers seeking simplicity. To build trust, the company initially offered products for free without requiring credit card information upfront. Early growth strategies included providing short, 20-minute demos to prove effectiveness and maintaining a strong online presence to build credibility. This frictionless approach allowed small business owners to try the platform without risk. Once they saw value in organizing tasks, teams and workflows digitally, conversion and retention followed. The company’s growth model prioritized proving effectiveness before asking for payment, which helped it scale organically across diverse markets.
Helping Businesses Work Smarter with AI
Today, TrackerSuite.AI has grown into an AI-powered platform that helps businesses manage different parts of their day-to-day work in one place. Task Tracker helps teams manage employees and tasks, Sales Tracker helps manage leads, customers and sales follow-ups, while Stack Tracker helps businesses keep track of inventory and stock. TAVI AI brings all this business information together to help teams understand what is happening, spot areas that need attention and make better decisions.
Investment, scaling and the road to Series A
Rishab and his co-founder initially invested approximately ₹50 lakh into the business. After several rounds of funding, the company has grown its workforce by three times in just three months. The platform currently serves over 100,000 users across 56 countries, including about 2,500 businesses. While they have raised four rounds of capital, they are now looking toward Series A funding next year with a focus on strategic partnerships. The next phase of growth is about deepening product capabilities, expanding into new geographies and building partnerships that can accelerate adoption among small businesses and ecosystem enablers.
Integrating AI: from task tracking to decision support
TrackerSuite.AI uses AI to provide better data analysis for improved business decision-making rather than just replacing manual work. Key AI features include predictive tasking, work validation, analytics dashboards and an AI calling agentic agent that can assist in decision-making. Rishab emphasizes that businesses must embrace AI to survive as they move away from paper-based or WhatsApp-based operations. For small businesses, AI is not about automation for its own sake. It is about turning scattered data into clear insights: which tasks are slipping, which customers need follow-up, which workflows are inefficient, and where a simple nudge can prevent a problem before it escalates.
Future vision: a fundamental business necessity
Looking ahead, Rishab aims to position Tracker Suite as a fundamental business necessity alongside accounting and documentation software. The target is to grow from 100,000 to 500,000 users within the next 24 months. Beyond India, the company is targeting the Middle East, North Africa, Indonesia and Malaysia, where small businesses face similar digitization gaps. For Rishab, success is not just about user count. It is about making Tracker Suite the default operating system for small businesses that want to move from informal, fragmented processes to a structured, data-driven way of working without losing simplicity or affordability.
Why does the Tracker Suite matter for small business digitization?
For millions of small businesses in India and emerging markets, digitization remains out of reach because existing tools are too complex, too expensive and too English-first. TrackerSuite.AI’s approach vernacular support, 15-minute implementation, AI-enabled insights and a trust-first growth model aims to turn digitization from a luxury into a basic utility. Rishab made clear that TrackerSuite.AI is not trying to be another enterprise SaaS platform. It is trying to become the simple, affordable, AI-enabled operating system that small businesses can actually use every day and grow with.
