Bengaluru-based healthcare technology company AyuSynk.ai has launched its Heart Sound AI for abnormal heart sound, or heart murmur, detection, marking its latest step toward using artificial intelligence to support cardiac screening in India.
The technology was launched on World Heart Day at SINE, IIT Bombay, alongside a community cardiac screening initiative in Gwalior aimed at demonstrating how digital auscultation, AI and remote specialist review can work together.
AI-Powered Heart Sound Screening
AyuSynk’s Heart Sound AI is designed to analyse recorded heart sounds and report whether a murmur is present or absent, along with a confidence level.
The technology is built into the AyuShare app and works with AyuSynk’s digital stethoscopes. The resulting heart-sound recordings and AI reports can also be shared with remote specialists for further review.
According to the company, Heart Sound AI recorded 92.86% sensitivity and 94.7% specificity for heart-murmur detection.
The platform is intended as a support tool for trained healthcare professionals and does not replace clinical judgement.
15,000+ Devices Deployed Across India
AyuSynk said more than 15,000 of its acoustic devices have already been deployed across India to support healthcare professionals in recording and assessing heart sounds.
With the addition of AI, the company aims to make these recordings more actionable by enabling automated analysis and remote sharing with specialists.
The model combines digital stethoscopes, AI-based analysis and remote specialist review, potentially allowing cardiac screening to take place closer to patients in locations with limited access to cardiologists.
Community Screening Initiative in Gwalior
Alongside the technology launch, AyuSynk participated in “Suno Dil Ki,” a free cardiac screening camp in Gwalior organised by RJN Apollo Spectra Hospital and Ratan Jyoti Dalmia Heart Institute in partnership with AyuSynk and the Sindhu Welfare Society.
The screening workflow included free ECG testing through the CardioSynk digital ECG system, heart-sound recording using AyuSynk’s digital stethoscope and AI-based murmur analysis.
Cardiologists reviewed the results, with visitors receiving written medical advice. Those requiring additional care could also receive hospital appointments and follow-up calls.
Addressing Specialist Access
The company said the initiative is aimed at addressing gaps in access to cardiac screening, particularly outside major urban centres.
By recording heart sounds closer to patients and combining AI analysis with remote specialist review, AyuSynk is developing a model intended to extend screening capabilities to healthcare settings where specialist access may be limited.
The Gwalior screening camp provided a real-world demonstration of this approach, connecting technology-enabled screening with cardiologist assessment and follow-up.
Launch at SINE, IIT Bombay
The official launch at SINE, IIT Bombay brought together healthcare experts, technology leaders and ecosystem stakeholders.
The programme featured discussions around healthcare innovation, cardiac screening, AI-enabled healthcare and the deployment of medical technologies in real-world settings. It also included a live demonstration of AyuSynk’s remote screening workflow.
Speakers included representatives from SINE, Ayu Devices, NITK, IF MedTech, Kokilaben Hospital and RJN Apollo Spectra, among others.
From Digital Auscultation to AI
The launch represents the next phase of AyuSynk’s digital auscultation journey. Having deployed acoustic devices across India, the company is now adding AI-based analysis to the recordings generated through its technology.
The broader model brings together devices, artificial intelligence, remote specialist access and community-level screening.
AyuSynk’s stated objective is to help make cardiac screening more accessible by taking technology closer to patients while keeping trained healthcare professionals and specialists involved in the assessment process.
