Chiratae Appoints Keshav R. Murugesh to Global Advisory Board

Indian technology venture and growth capital firm Chiratae has appointed Keshav R. Murugesh to its Global Advisory Board as the firm marks 20 years of backing India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Murugesh brings more than three decades of experience in building, transforming and scaling global technology and business services enterprises. At Chiratae, he will provide strategic guidance across areas including strategy, governance, talent and organisational scale.

 

Murugesh Brings Global Enterprise Experience

Murugesh currently serves as Special Advisor to the Group CEO and a member of the Group Executive Committee at Capgemini.

He previously served as Group CEO of WNS, where he led the company’s transformation into a global business process management player before its acquisition by Capgemini in 2025.

His experience spans multiple technology cycles and includes leadership across business transformation, global operations and enterprise scaling.

 

Strategic Guidance for Chiratae

Commenting on the appointment, Sudhir Sethi, Founder and Chairman, Chiratae, said Murugesh’s experience in building and transforming global enterprises, along with his engagement with founders and the wider industry, would add value to the firm’s advisory board.

As a member of the Global Advisory Board, Murugesh is expected to advise Chiratae on strategic priorities as the firm and its portfolio companies navigate areas such as governance, talent development and global expansion.

 

Focus on India’s Technology Ecosystem

Beyond his corporate roles, Murugesh has been involved in India’s technology and business services ecosystem.

He is a former Chairperson of Nasscom and currently serves as Chair of the CII UK India Business Forum, where he has been involved in areas including cross-border trade, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Murugesh said Chiratae’s track record of identifying technology-led innovation early has contributed to the development of India’s digital economy. He added that Indian startups have opportunities to build globally relevant businesses as enterprise requirements evolve around AI and next-generation technologies.

 

Chiratae Enters Its Next Phase

The appointment comes as Chiratae completes 20 years of investing in technology-led businesses from India.

The firm said Murugesh’s addition further strengthens its Global Advisory Board as it enters its next phase of growth, with the board expected to provide strategic perspective to the firm and its portfolio companies.

 

Chiratae’s Investment Track Record

Founded 20 years ago, Chiratae is an Indian technology venture and growth capital firm with $1.4 billion in assets under management across seven funds.

According to the firm, its portfolio spans 140+ investments, 86 exits and six IPOs. Companies backed by Chiratae include AgroStar, Cult.fit, Fibe, FirstCry, Flipkart, Lenskart, Myntra, Pixis, Policybazaar, Rentomojo and Vayana, among others.

With Murugesh joining its Global Advisory Board, Chiratae is adding further enterprise leadership experience to its strategic advisory structure as it continues to work with technology startups and growth-stage businesses from India.
