Bengaluru based AI startup Oppex AI has raised Rs 4.2 crore in a pre seed funding round led by Info Edge Ventures.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development, expand the team and scale deployments with customers, the company said in a press release.
Founded by Prasun Kumar and Pranit Kumar, Oppex AI was launched in June last year with a focus on improving how enterprises manage production operations. The startup is building an AI native platform that aims to shift incident management from a largely human led process to an AI led one.
Its agentic platform brings together information from observability tools, customer support systems, cloud infrastructure, internal runbooks and other enterprise systems. By combining these sources, the platform is designed to understand production incidents and automate parts of the incident response process.
AI Platform for Production Operations
Production incidents can require engineering teams to spend significant time identifying what went wrong, investigating the underlying cause and restoring systems. Oppex AI is building its platform around this problem, with the goal of automating the detection, investigation and resolution of such incidents.
The company wants engineering teams to spend less time firefighting production issues and more time developing products.
Oppex AI is positioning its technology as an AI layer for production environments. The company aims to help organisations increase software development and deployment speeds without compromising reliability, customer experience or trust.
According to the startup, this approach could help enterprises make better use of AI driven software development while maintaining the stability of their production systems.
Expanding Across Global Markets
Oppex AI said its platform is already being adopted by enterprise customers across India, the UK, the EU and the US.
With the new funding, the startup plans to strengthen its agentic platform and expand its capabilities as it works towards making AI led production operations more widely accessible to enterprise technology teams.
The company is focusing on production environments where multiple systems and data sources need to be considered together when an incident occurs.
Growing Demand for Agentic Production Systems
The rise of AI powered software development is increasing the speed at which applications are built and deployed. However, higher deployment velocity can also make production environments more complex for engineering teams to manage.
This has created demand for systems that can bring together signals from logs, metrics, infrastructure, applications and internal knowledge bases.
Agentic production platforms can use these signals to identify potential root causes and recommend or execute remediation actions. Oppex AI is targeting this emerging category by combining enterprise context with AI agents for production operations.
With its latest funding, Oppex AI plans to continue developing its technology and expanding customer deployments as enterprises look for ways to manage increasingly complex production environments with greater speed and automation.
