New Delhi: Biryani and Indian meals brand Biryani Bees, incubated by Wolfpack Labs, has raised $1 million in funding from the Vivek Oberoi Family Office as it looks to expand its outlet network across Tier 2 markets in India.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to initially expand from its current three outlets to 10 outlets across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other Tier 2 markets. The expansion will be focused on proving and standardising its operating model across multiple states before the company raises a larger institutional round to support its national expansion plans.
A portion of the funding will also be deployed towards strengthening Biryani Bees’ central kitchen infrastructure, expanding its operations team and developing a repeatable expansion model that can support the brand’s growth across markets.
Founded by Nitin Tiwari, Biryani Bees operates through a central-kitchen-led model, which the company says is designed to maintain consistency in food quality and pricing as it scales across locations.
The company currently operates three outlets in Uttar Pradesh and has set its sights on reaching 10 outlets across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other emerging Tier 2 cities.
Biryani Bees currently reports an annual revenue run rate of around Rs 25 crore and says that it is a profitable business. The brand has also established a presence on major food delivery platforms, including Zomato and Swiggy.
According to the company, Biryani Bees has achieved a strong market position for biryani in the cities where it operates, supported by its presence across online food delivery platforms.
The latest investment from the Vivek Oberoi Family Office comes as India’s food and restaurant ecosystem continues to see growing interest in scalable regional brands. For Biryani Bees, the immediate focus will be on expanding its footprint, strengthening its operational infrastructure and demonstrating a repeatable model before pursuing institutional capital for wider national growth.
With the latest funding, the company aims to build a larger presence in underserved Tier 2 markets while maintaining consistency in its food offerings and pricing.
