Coffee equipment and services provider Kaapi Machines has secured a ₹50 crore equity infusion from Sedna HoReCa (Sedna), a private equity-backed B2B hospitality solutions provider. Alongside the investment, the two companies have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at expanding Kaapi Machines’ capabilities across manufacturing, technology, and customer solutions.
The partnership comes as India’s coffee consumption continues to rise, creating increased demand for professional coffee equipment, specialty beverages, and end-to-end café infrastructure.
Funds to Strengthen Manufacturing and Technology
According to the company, the fresh capital and strategic collaboration will help expand its product portfolio while strengthening manufacturing capabilities.
Kaapi Machines also plans to enhance its technology stack, warehousing infrastructure, and after-sales service network to better support customers across India’s hospitality and coffee sectors.
In addition, the company intends to explore opportunities in adjacent product categories by leveraging Sedna’s broader capabilities and existing industry network.
Supporting India’s Expanding Coffee Industry
Led by Abhinav Mathur, Kaapi Machines serves businesses across the entire farm-to-cup coffee ecosystem. Its customer base includes leading café chains, quick-service restaurants (QSRs), specialty coffee roasters, hotels, corporate offices, retailers, and coffee vending businesses across India.
With coffee culture continuing to evolve beyond metropolitan cities, the company aims to strengthen its role as a comprehensive partner for both established and emerging HoReCa businesses.
Comprehensive Coffee Solutions
Kaapi Machines supplies a wide range of commercial coffee equipment, including automatic and semi-automatic espresso machines, coffee grinders, roasters, and commercial blenders.
The company is also the official distributor for globally recognised coffee equipment brands such as La Marzocco, Mahlkönig, Rancilio, and Probat, catering to specialty cafés and professional coffee operators.
Beyond equipment, Kaapi Machines offers barista training, latte art workshops, café consulting services, technical maintenance, and repair support. It also operates Something’s Brewing, an e-commerce platform dedicated to home coffee brewing enthusiasts.
Expanding Opportunities in the HoReCa Segment
The strategic partnership with Sedna is expected to enable Kaapi Machines to broaden its offerings beyond coffee equipment by exploring complementary product categories relevant to its existing customer base.
By combining Sedna’s expertise in B2B hospitality solutions with Kaapi Machines’ established presence in the coffee ecosystem, the collaboration aims to strengthen operational capabilities while supporting the evolving needs of India’s hospitality and food service industry.
As demand for premium coffee experiences continues to grow across cafés, hotels, restaurants, and workplaces, the company plans to leverage the investment to expand its footprint and enhance customer support through improved infrastructure, training, and innovation.
