Promom Raises ₹30 Crore from Fireside Ventures to Expand Maternal and Baby Care Product Portfolio

Lucknow-based startup plans to accelerate product innovation and make quality maternal and baby care products more accessible across India

Lucknow-based maternal and baby care brand Promom has raised ₹30 crore in a funding round led by Fireside Ventures. The company will use the fresh capital to strengthen product innovation, expand its portfolio across the maternal and baby care ecosystem, and improve access to its products for mothers across India.

Founded in 2023 by Anavi Kalia, Manas Tripathi, and Aditya Srivastava, Promom is building a consumer brand focused on addressing the evolving needs of mothers through thoughtfully designed maternal and baby care products.

Funding to Drive Product Innovation and Expansion

According to the company, the newly raised funds will be invested in expanding its product offerings while strengthening research and innovation across the maternal and baby care segment.

Promom also plans to improve the accessibility of its products, enabling more families across the country to benefit from reliable and affordable parenting solutions.

The investment marks another bet by Fireside Ventures in India’s rapidly growing consumer health and parenting market, where demand for trusted and high-quality products continues to rise.

Addressing Gaps in India’s Maternal and Baby Care Market

Promom was launched with the objective of solving a common challenge faced by Indian parents limited access to dependable maternal and baby care products that balance quality, affordability, and functionality.

According to the company, many parents often have to choose between premium international brands that are expensive and difficult to service, and lower-cost alternatives that may not consistently meet expectations for quality and performance.

Promom aims to bridge this gap by developing products designed specifically for the needs of modern Indian families while maintaining accessible pricing.

Customer-Centric Product Development

A key pillar of Promom’s product strategy is its collaborative approach to development.

The startup says it works closely with mothers, doctors, and lactation consultants throughout the product design process, using real-world insights and continuous customer feedback to refine its offerings.

By incorporating lived experiences into product development, the company seeks to ensure its solutions address practical parenting challenges rather than relying solely on conventional market assumptions.

According to Promom, this customer-first approach has helped build trust among parents while enabling the brand to create products that solve genuine everyday needs related to feeding and early childcare.

Growing Opportunity in Maternal and Baby Care

India’s maternal and baby care market has witnessed significant growth in recent years, driven by rising disposable incomes, greater awareness of infant health, increasing digital adoption, and growing demand for premium parenting products.

Consumers are increasingly seeking products that combine safety, convenience, and quality without the premium pricing often associated with imported brands.

Startups operating in the space are responding by building locally relevant products backed by healthcare professionals and consumer insights.

Strengthening Presence in a Fast-Growing Category

With the fresh funding, Promom aims to strengthen its position in India’s maternal and baby care ecosystem by expanding its product portfolio and reaching more mothers nationwide.

As the company continues to innovate across feeding and early parenting solutions, it hopes to make reliable, thoughtfully designed maternal and baby care products more accessible to families while addressing the changing needs of India’s new generation of parents.
