Mumbai-based enterprise technology startup Data Science Wizards (DSW) has raised $5 million in a pre-Series A funding round from angel investors, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey as demand for enterprise AI infrastructure continues to accelerate globally.
The latest funding comes less than two years after the company raised $1.4 million in seed funding at a valuation of $16.4 million in October 2024, in a round led by an angel investor.
According to the company, the newly raised capital will be used to accelerate product innovation, strengthen North American operations, expand engineering and customer success teams, deepen strategic partnerships, and drive wider adoption of its flagship platform, UnifyAI OS, across enterprises and highly regulated industries.
Building the Operating System for Enterprise AI
Founded in 2019 by Pritesh Surendra Tiwari, Sandhya Oza, Sandeep Khuperkar, and Shivam Thakkar, Data Science Wizards is focused on solving one of the most pressing challenges facing large organizations today: how to operationalize AI securely at scale while maintaining governance, compliance, and control.
At the center of DSW’s offering is UnifyAI OS, an enterprise AI operating system designed to help organizations build, integrate, deploy, govern, monitor, and operate AI and agentic AI applications through a single unified operating layer.
As enterprises increasingly adopt artificial intelligence across business functions, managing fragmented AI systems has become a major operational challenge. Organizations often struggle with issues such as data governance, interoperability, compliance requirements, security risks, and long-term control over AI ecosystems.
DSW aims to address these complexities by providing a centralized platform that allows enterprises to scale AI adoption without sacrificing security or regulatory compliance.
Addressing AI Governance Challenges in Regulated Industries
AI adoption in regulated industries such as banking, financial services, insurance (BFSI), and the public sector presents unique challenges.
Unlike consumer-facing AI applications, enterprise AI deployments require rigorous oversight, transparent decision-making, strong audit trails, and seamless integration with legacy systems. Businesses need to ensure that AI models remain explainable, compliant, and secure while continuing to deliver measurable business value.
This is where UnifyAI OS positions itself as a critical infrastructure layer.
The platform enables enterprises to maintain ownership, governance, interoperability, security, and operational control over their AI systems, making it particularly attractive for organizations operating in highly regulated environments.
Competing in a Rapidly Growing Enterprise AI Market
Data Science Wizards is operating in a highly competitive but fast-growing market, where enterprises are increasingly looking beyond isolated AI tools toward unified AI infrastructure.
The company competes with global enterprise AI players such as Palantir, Dataiku, DataRobot, H2O.ai, C3 AI, and SAS Viya.
However, DSW is betting that enterprises need more than just model development tools they need a complete operating layer capable of orchestrating AI across departments, workflows, and regulatory frameworks. With the rise of agentic AI AI systems capable of making autonomous decisions and executing tasks the need for robust enterprise governance frameworks is becoming even more urgent.
Riding the Next Wave of Enterprise AI Adoption
The fresh funding positions DSW to capitalize on the next wave of enterprise AI transformation. As businesses move from AI experimentation to full-scale deployment, infrastructure providers that can simplify AI operations while ensuring trust and governance are expected to play a pivotal role.
By expanding globally and investing heavily in product development, Data Science Wizards aims to strengthen its position as a key enabler of enterprise AI adoption. With UnifyAI OS, the startup is building what could become a foundational layer for organizations seeking to scale AI responsibly bridging the gap between innovation and enterprise-grade control in an increasingly AI-driven world.
