India’s agritech ecosystem continues to see strong momentum as startups build technology solutions for the country’s massive farming economy. In the latest development, Verdant Impact, an agritech startup focused on livestock intelligence, has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures.
The round also saw participation from Infynyte Club, Yash Kotak, Alok Soni, and a-IDEA NAARM, reflecting growing investor interest in technologies that improve productivity and sustainability in the dairy and livestock sector.
Founded by Manish Kumar, Verdant Impact is building AI-led solutions for livestock management and bovine genetics, aiming to bring data-driven insights to farmers who traditionally rely on manual processes. The startup’s flagship platform, Pashu.AI, enables livestock health monitoring, genetic tracking, and farm management through advanced analytics. Complementing this is Bharat Pashudhan, an IoT-enabled device designed to help farmers monitor herd activity and improve decision-making on the ground.
With the fresh capital, the company plans to expand its team, strengthen research and development, and deepen its presence across North and North-East India. Verdant Impact also intends to enhance the capabilities of its Pashu.AI platform, including upgrading its technology infrastructure with blockchain integration to improve traceability and data transparency in livestock ecosystems.
The startup says its solutions have already reached more than six lakh farmers across India, and it has witnessed eightfold revenue growth since its previous funding round in March 2025. Building on this momentum, Verdant Impact is targeting ₹100 crore in revenue in FY26 while maintaining profitability.
Beyond productivity, the company is also focusing on sustainability initiatives. One such effort is the India Methane Mission, which aims to reduce methane emissions from dairy farming while enabling carbon credit opportunities for farmers. The initiative reflects a broader push within agritech to align farm productivity with environmental responsibility.
As India’s dairy sector continues to modernize, startups like Verdant Impact are positioning themselves at the intersection of agriculture, artificial intelligence, and climate-conscious innovation—bringing digital tools to a sector that directly supports millions of farmers across the country.
