RISA Labs Raises $11.1 Million to Build AI Operating System for Cancer Care

AI-driven healthtech startup RISA Labs has raised $11.1 million in a funding round co-led by Cencora Ventures and Optum Ventures, marking a significant step forward in its mission to transform cancer care through automation.

The round also saw participation from Oncology Ventures, Z21 Ventures, and John Simon of Ventureforgood, along with continued backing from Binny Bansal, co-founder of Flipkart. Earlier, in April last year, RISA Labs had raised $3.5 million in a seed round led by Binny Bansal and other investors.

According to the company, the fresh capital will be deployed to scale product development, expand deployments across hospitals and cancer care networks, and support customer onboarding within the US healthcare system.

Building an AI Operating System for Oncology

Founded in the United States, RISA Labs is developing an AI-powered operating system for cancer care, aimed at simplifying and automating the complex clinical and administrative workflows inherent to oncology.

Cancer care involves multiple stakeholders and processes—from diagnostics and treatment planning to approvals, scheduling, and patient coordination. RISA Labs’ platform addresses these challenges by automating repetitive tasks, improving care coordination, and reducing the manual burden on healthcare providers.

By streamlining workflows, the company aims to help oncology teams accelerate treatment timelines, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes, while allowing clinicians to focus more on care delivery rather than paperwork.

Focused on High-Complexity Care Environments

RISA Labs is specifically targeting oncology providers dealing with high operational complexity, where delays and inefficiencies can directly impact patient experience and outcomes. Its AI-driven approach is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing healthcare systems, enabling faster adoption across hospitals and cancer care networks.

With strong strategic backing from healthcare-focused investors and experienced technology leaders, RISA Labs is positioning itself at the intersection of AI, healthcare operations, and oncology, addressing one of the most critical and complex areas of modern medicine.
