Neetu Chandra-Backed Agritech Startup Agrifeeder Secures US FDA Certification, Eyes Global Exports from Bihar

Agrifeeder, an agritech startup backed by Bollywood actor Neetu Chandra, has secured US FDA certification, enabling the export of agricultural produce sourced directly from farmers across Bihar. The certification marks Agrifeeder’s formal entry into global markets, as the company looks to build export-ready, value-added brands rooted in regional Indian produce.

The announcement was made at an event in Delhi, where Agrifeeder also unveiled its global-facing brand identity, “Agrifeeder by Neetu Chandra,” under which all international products will now be marketed.

Founded in 2017 by Priya Pandey, Raman Kumar, Raunak Kumar, and Neetu Chandra, Agrifeeder operates an agri-commerce platform that works closely with farmers across Bihar. The startup focuses on improving farm incomes through direct market access, branding, packaging, quality standardisation, traceability, and integrated supply-chain solutions, enabling farmers to move beyond raw commodity sales.

Agrifeeder’s model is designed to address long-standing challenges faced by small and marginal farmers, including limited access to markets, price volatility, and dependence on intermediaries. With a Bihar-first operating strategy and a growing global outlook, the company is positioning itself as a sustainable, export-oriented platform focused on farmer empowerment and regional excellence.

Speaking at the event, Neetu Chandra, Co-founder, Agrifeeder, said, “Putting my name on the packaging means standing behind the quality, the sourcing, and the livelihoods connected to every product. As we enter global markets, this brand represents trust, traceability, and the belief that produce from Bihar can compete internationally on merit.”

As part of its long-term community engagement initiatives, Agrifeeder has adopted villages to support local employment, agricultural development, and livelihood generation. The company’s product portfolio includes lemongrass herbal tea, chanasattu, chanasattu with moringa powder mix, chanasattu with wheatgrass powder mix, raw honey, Jardalu mango, Katarni rice and poha, jaggery maize, and several other indigenous products native to Bihar.

According to the company, Agrifeeder currently works with a network of over 50,000 farmers across the state, supporting them through end-to-end market linkage and value addition. By transitioning farmers from commodity-based selling to branded, export-ready products, Agrifeeder aims to help increase farmer incomes by up to 10x over time.
