In a year where India’s AI ambitions are accelerating faster than ever, Bengaluru-based Redrob has taken a defining step forward. The AI research startup has closed a $10 million Series A round, led by Korea Investment Partners, with several major Korean funds joining the round — a rare show of cross-border conviction in India’s deep-tech future.
This brings Redrob’s total funding to $14 million, building on the $4 million seed round it raised in 2023.
Founded in 2018 by Felix Kim, Redrob has quietly built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of outbound intelligence. Its flagship product, PeopleSearch, taps into over 700 million global professional profiles, giving companies precision in lead generation, intent filtering, and outreach — all powered by natural-language search across 19 data sources.
But the company’s next chapter is far more ambitious.
With fresh capital, Redrob plans to develop a cost-efficient ML architecture that aims to reduce AI deployment costs by 50x, while building India-focused language models across all 22 constitutionally recognized languages — a challenge few AI companies have dared to take on at scale.
The startup is also positioning itself as a catalyst for India’s student community. Starting Q1 2026, it plans to offer free Redrob LLM access to all Indian universities. Conversations with the Ministry of Education are already underway to bring advanced AI tools directly into student ecosystems across the country.
“We want every Indian student to have free access to premium AI tools,” says Kartikey Handa, COO and head of India operations. “Today, high-end AI models cost so much that they remain out of reach for most people in India and other emerging markets. Redrob’s breakthroughs deliver significant cost reductions through advanced ML techniques, enabling high-quality performance at a fraction of the cost.”
As the company expands its AI suite for learning, career development, and workplace productivity, Redrob is targeting a massive user base — from 300 million learners to working professionals and enterprises, especially in HR and sales.
With the Series A round fuelling multi-language AI, student access initiatives, and enterprise tools, Redrob is positioning itself at the heart of India’s AI democratization movement — one where high-quality models are accessible, affordable, and built for every Indian user.
