A 35-member Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) and edtech delegation, representing 24 companies, is currently in New Delhi for a week to strengthen education ties and explore partnership opportunities within India’s education and skilling sectors.
The delegation, which includes Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), TAFEs, non-university higher education providers, audio/visual system providers, and education management organisations, is showcasing its offerings at the Australia Pavilion during the Didac India 2025 event from November 18–20.
The visit is coordinated by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), in collaboration with Global Victoria, Investment New South Wales, and Trade and Investment Queensland.
Focus on Collaboration and Skilling
Throughout their visit, the Australian representatives are scheduled to meet with Indian government agencies, industry bodies, and education stakeholders across schools and institutions. The primary goal is to seek opportunities for collaboration in key areas such as curriculum design, technology integration, and pathways for continuous learning.
Vik Singh, Trade and Investment Commissioner for Austrade, emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration, stating, “Australia will be a natural partner for India in building human capital for the future. By organising the delegation visit, we reaffirm our commitment by connecting Australian institutions and training providers to further strengthen Australia–India collaboration in skills development.”
Austrade’s Role
The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is the Australian Government’s agency responsible for international trade promotion and investment attraction. It supports business growth by offering market information and insights, promoting Australian capabilities, and facilitating connections through its global network.
