Bangalore, October 8, 2025: Jaagruk Bharat, a civic-tech startup aimed at simplifying access to government services, has raised Rs 1.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by AJVC, the early-stage venture capital firm founded by Aviral Bhatnagar.
The funding will be deployed to enhance product development, strengthen collaborations with central and state government bodies, improve accessibility features, and expand the platform’s reach among marginalized communities. The startup also plans to focus on improving system interoperability to accelerate access to welfare schemes and public services.
Founded by Akshit and Abhishek Goel, Jaagruk Bharat offers citizens a multilingual, easy-to-use platform that enables them to discover, apply for, and track government schemes in real-time. The platform emphasizes transparency, accountability, and accessibility, bridging gaps for users across different socio-economic and linguistic backgrounds.
AJVC, which recently closed its maiden fund with commitments exceeding Rs 200 crore—more than double its initial target—invests in high-potential Indian startups across technology, consumer, and impact sectors. Its portfolio includes GaadiMech.com, Nuyug, and Mithila Foods.
With this new capital infusion, Jaagruk Bharat aims to build a citizen-first ecosystem, leveraging automation and vernacular support to simplify interactions with government services.
