Thrustworks Dynetics Secures ₹7 Crore Seed Funding to Accelerate Rocket Engine Innovation

Thrustworks Dynetics, a Pune-based propulsion systems startup, has raised ₹7 crore in a seed funding round led by Jamwant Ventures, with participation from Piper Serica, SINE-IIT Bombay, and other investors.

The funding will be deployed to scale the company’s Integrated Rocket Facility, enhance research and development in advanced propulsion systems, and expand testing capabilities to meet the growing global demand for commercial space access, the company said in a statement.

Founded in 2023 by Manan Joshi, Kalyani Shinde, and Vinith Shenoy, Thrustworks Dynetics develops liquid rocket engine systems and subsystems, along with proprietary software and test infrastructure. The startup is currently developing ANYA, a liquid rocket engine platform, and has built a Mobile Rocket Engine Test Bed to enable rapid and flexible hot-fire testing.

Incubated at SINE-IIT Bombay, Thrustworks Dynetics aims to advance propulsion technology by building modular, scalable, and high-performance engines, including Micro-combustors and High Thrust High Impulse (HTHI) engines. Its upcoming Integrated Rocket Facility will unify design, manufacturing, and testing under one roof, promising faster development cycles and operational agility.

The startup collaborates with major space and aerospace stakeholders, including ISRO, IN-SPACe, Bharat Forge, Godrej Aerospace, and INOXCVA, and competes with players such as Ursa Major in the liquid propulsion space.
